Great Developments In Cumbria!
Wednesday 25 February 2026

Murray House proudly announced the recent opening of their new facilities which British Showjumping Members will begin benefitting from this coming weekend. To compliment their existing facilities, more than 7250sqm of brand new arena space is now in use, with a large main arena and separate warm-up arena, all surfaced with a sand and fibre mix surface, which has been specifically designed with jumping in mind.
Situated just a few minutes off Junction 42 of the M6, Murray House host regular British Showjumping competitions ranging from Club and Just for Schools through Juniors and on to Senior Category 1 and Category 2 Shows. The new arenas are also open for hire, training and clinics with the venue looking certain to become a focus for equestrian activity, not only for those in Cumbria, but for riders across the North and West of the country as a whole.
Peter Bainbridge (Proprietor of Murray House) said, “we’re absolutely delighted to be able to be able to offer British Showjumping Members high quality conditions for jumping and look forward to holding some great Shows through the summer and beyond”. “We’re confident of the support of riders and have invested with the aim of making Murray House a real destination for top class competition”.
