National Membership

Whether you're new to the sport or a seasoned rider looking to compete nationally, British Showjumping’s National Membership is your gateway to recognised competition and being part of a supportive, structured equestrian community.

What is National Membership?

National Membership allows riders to compete in British Showjumping competitions across the UK, from grassroots through to the higher levels of the sport. It’s the ideal membership for those who are committed to progressing through affiliated competition.

Membership Fees

Registering Your Horse

To compete in British Showjumping competitions, your horse must also be registered. Once registered, your horse will receive a competition record and be eligible to earn points and compete in affiliated classes.

Key Rules to Know

  • All riders and horses must hold current British Showjumping membership and registration to compete in affiliated events.
  • Riders must adhere to the British Showjumping Code of Conduct and Welfare Policy.
  • Rider and horse combinations may only enter classes appropriate to their registered category and points eligibility.

Bronze & Silver League Classes

To assist you, we have created a Class Guide for the Bronze & Silver Leagues which easily illustrates the classes based by their height or any other specific restrictions.
