Lottie Tutt Claims Victory in the Squibb Group Pony Foxhunter Second Round at South View Equestrian Centre

Fifteen year old Lottie Tutt from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire provided the sole treble clear on-board Helen Tredwell’s Kanclaudius to claim victory in the Squibb Group Pony Foxhunter Second Round at the South View Equestrian Centre Pony Premier on Sunday.

The win secures a prestigious finalist place at Horse of the Year Show at the NEC in October.

Fifty-five competitors chased the three coveted qualification places on offer for the Squibb Group Pony Foxhunter Championship Final held at the Horse of the Year Show in October. Only fifteen jumping first round clears and an elite five reached the third and final round where clear were scarce, only Lottie managing to leave all the fences intact for the top prize on Kanclaudius.

Kanclaudius, a 6 year-old bay mare was bred as a horse by Helen Tredwell but didn’t grow. She was started by Helen in senior British novice and discovery in 2015, but because of her diminutive size, she began her pony career with Lottie in 2016.

Fourteen year-old Nicole Lockhead Anderson from Banchory, Aberdeenshire produced an  opening round that was six sec faster, but a rail hit the floor two fences from home dropping her to second with the seven-year-old gelding Gangnam Style II.

Joe Fernyhough aged 15 years from Stonehouse Gloucestershire, son of Montreal 1976 Olympian Rowland, will join them at Horse of the Year Show in October after taking third on the Silver Shadow sired 10-year-old Wildwood Silver.

Fourth-placed Madison Jamison on Sweepstake and Fraser Reed, in fifth on Jiminy Cricket, just missed out on a qualification place but they did pick up the chance to compete in the Squibb Group Pony Foxhunter Masters at the British Showjumping  National Championships in August.
