Farewell to a great equestrian: Anneli Drummond-Hay

We are deeply saddened to hear the news that Anneli, one of the world’s most accomplished horsewomen, passed away over the weekend.

Born in Scotland, she was legendary across multiple equestrian disciplines and had a hugely successful career in showjumping with many notable Grand Prix wins and medals.

David Broome has fond memories of his former team mate: "She was lovely - kind as kind can be! She had an unbelievable talent and was always great company on the team. She was a trier to the end."

'Merely A Rider’ is Anneli’s autobiography which she had released very recently (2022) and gives an incredible account of her extraordinary life.

She sadly passed just before what would have been her 85th birthday. Our thoughts are with her family and friends.

Further details will be released in due course.
