British Showjumping National Championships 2025 - Day 4

It’s been another day of top-class competition with Anya Dewey Clarke posting some stand-out rounds - claiming the National 128cm Championship Final on Jim (Cobid) and the National 138cm Championship Final on Fredaine De Blonde in the Sytner Land Rover Championship Arena.

The 128cm final saw outstanding performances, with all six riders in the jump-off producing double clears, turning it into a race against the clock. Anya, last to go, clinched the win with a 2-second lead!

She said: "I knew I'd got to go for it, and Jim could definitely do the turns - he's the most incredible pony ever."

Later in the day, Anya secured the 138cm title by less than a second, Anya said: “It's been an absolutely incredible day, it's been one of the best days ever - especially in the 138's - we had absolutely no expectations to come and win and Blondie just gave it her all, and Jim, they are two incredible ponies."

Honey Bowes took a 2-second lead aboard 6-year-old NFS Tiloubet to win the National Children on Horses Championship Final.

Reflecting on her win at the British Showjumping National Championships, Honey said: “Unbelievable – I’ve never won here at Nationals before, so it’s just a massive achievement.”

Describing her horse, she added: “He’s been really good at turns, he’s super speedy, and just such an amazing horse. He really flew at the end. When he comes into jump-offs, he just lights up.”

Sophie Campbell delivered a speedy round this morning to claim victory in the National Under 21 Championship Final at the British Showjumping National Championships.

Riding RSH Monbeg Marshall - a talented 10-year-old who previously evented and only began showjumping in January last year - Sophie showcased incredible skill and partnership.

Reflecting on the win, Sophie said: “It’s amazing – we’ve had him just over a year now, and what he’s done for me this year is just unbelievable. I can’t thank him enough, he’s been incredible.”

The 7-hour trip was worth it for Brittney Clarke, who claimed the win in the British Showjumping Pony National 1.15m Members Cup Final riding 10-year-old Borris OB “It feels amazing, just to be on the pony I went from 90cm to 1.15m on. When I got her she wasn’t really experienced, I brought her up to be the way she is and it feels so good to know that she is winning classes at 1.15m.”

The Retraining of Racehorses Club Finals took centre stage in the Unibed Championship Arena this morning. Deni HarperAdams took the win in the ROR 75cm final, riding her own Be Home By Midnight – the very first racehorse she has retrained.

This pair are no strangers to success, having previously won this class back in 2022. An emotional Deni shared how special the win was, describing her mare as “a bit of a madam” at home, but truly exceptional in the ring.

She added: “She was born very local to the showground and was initially trained and raced by Mr Evans, so it’s lovely to bring her home and win here.”

Hannah Chisman claimed the win in the ROR 90cm Final aboard 18-year-old First Fandango, who previously ran 50 times under trainer Tim Vaughan, earning £68,000 in prize money during his racing career.

Reflecting on the win, Hannah shared: “Freddie has been retrained for a long time. Many of you will know him from the showing world, but he also does everything – and today it feels pretty amazing winning his first jumping final.”

Miarose Woodward riding 11-year-old Viva La Vega became the ROR Bronze League Champion. When asked how it feels to win, she said: "Amazing, it’s been a long time coming with her, I've had her three years, and it's took a long time to get her confidence up jumping and she's just really come together and it's all clicked today."

The afternoon saw a fantastic win for Evie Foster and Causey Cuan, who claimed the Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Championship Final title.

With her final year on ponies coming to a close, Evie reflected on the moment: “It’s really good – he’s just the best pony, and it’s a really nice way to end my time on ponies.” She now has her sights set on a HOYS ticket tomorrow, and we wish her the very best of luck!

Describing her win in the Pony Discovery Championship Final as “amazing” and set in the “perfect atmosphere,” Gracie Maw reflected on her win with 7-year-old Creggaun Sparrow Dun: “It’s amazing, you know, to get where we’ve got – especially as I’ve had him since he was a 2-year-old. He’s come a long way, and I wouldn’t want to do it with any other pony.

It’s been a day full of memorable moments, emotional wins, and outstanding horsemanship – congratulations to all our riders!
