Jade Hall jumps to victory in the Equissage Pulse Senior British Novice Second Round at Coombelands Equestrian

Jade Hall found the shortest route to top the Equissage Pulse Senior British Novice Second Round at Coombelands Equestrian in West Sussex with Snowman III.

An entry of 43 competitors tackled the 1m course in a bid to qualify for the Final at the British Showjumping National Championships, Stoneleigh, with 23 posting initial clears.  These were further reduced to 12 over a shortened track in round two to reach the final jump-off.

Jade and the six-year-old gelding were on a mission to win with more than three seconds in hand.  Hayley Webster guided LK Lady Rio into second and Brooke Tusler filled third place riding Bow House Ralph.

Owner Samantha Karjula-Gibbins bred the Indoctro sired Snowman from a retired mare she used to compete herself, News Twist, who traces back to Gem Twist and is by the USA Thoroughbred Good News Joe.

Jade first started Snowman as an unbroken 3-year-old.

“Samantha is a long-term livery of mine and I was delighted when she asked me to produce Snowman for her. He’s super-brave, naturally careful, loves jumping and has now jumped a handful of Foxhunter classes.  Every time he steps up easily and does everything he can to help you,” said Jade.  “I’ve always believed he is one for the future; he’s athletic, very light on his feet, super-balanced and nimble – it’s the Thoroughbred in him.”
