Dodson & Horrell Set to Sponsor National Amateur & Veteran Championships for a Further Three Years

British Showjumping is delighted to announce Dodson & Horrell’s continuation as the title sponsor of the British Showjumping National Amateur & Veteran Championships. Dodson & Horrell, Europe’s leading horse feed specialists and official supplier to Equestrian Team GBR; will be continuing their sponsorship of the National Amateur & Veteran Championships for a further three year period, marking a seven year association with this popular series.

This announcement coincides with the news that the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur & Veteran Championships will remain at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool for 2016, 2017 and 2018, with this year’s Championships scheduled to run between the 16th – 20th November.

The Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Championships give amateur riders and horses the opportunity to contest an end-of-year Amateur Final across four different heights – 0.85cm, 0.95cm, 1.05m and 1.10m. The National Veteran Riders Championships are split into minor and major categories. In 2015, the National Amateur First Rounds attracted in the region of 20,000 starters, which made for a competitive Championship Series from start to finish.

Sam Horrell, Dodson & Horrell’s CEO, said “We are thrilled to sponsor these highly competitive Championships, the competition is one of the highlights of the showjumping year for many competitors and we thoroughly enjoy being a part of it. The Championships give us the chance to support the sport at grassroots and engage with many of our customers offering essential nutritional advice to help combinations to compete at their best.”

Maria Clayton, Head of Communications at British Showjumping, added “We are thrilled to be announcing Dodson & Horrell’s continued sponsorship of our National Amateur & Veteran Championships for a further three years. When we first met back in 2012, both parties felt that the Championships would sit well in the Dodson & Horrell sponsorship portfolio. The longevity of our commercial relationship with them is testament to that fit and we look forward to working with the Dodson & Horrell team again over the course of the next three years. We cannot thank them enough for all of their support."

The current season of Dodson & Horrell National Amateur First Rounds is well underway and riders have until the 31st August 2016 to qualify for the Second Rounds, which will be held during September, October and November.
