DODSON & HORRELL IS RAMPING UP FOR A COMPETITIVE WEEK AT THE DODSON & HORRELL NATIONAL AMATEUR AND VETERAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Dodson & Horrell, Europe’s leading horse feed specialists, is looking forward to a highly competitive series final of the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur and Veteran Championships at Aintree International Equestrian Centre (18 - 22 November 2015).

Competitors have been seeking to gain their qualification spot at the Championships following a hotly contested series of first rounds that took place around the country, with second rounds held during September, October and November.

Qualified horse and rider combinations will get the opportunity to contend at this week’s Amateur Final across four different heights – 0.85cm, 0.95cm, 1.05m and 1.10m. In 2014, the National Amateur first rounds attracted in the region of 25,000 starters, which made for a competitive Championship Series from start to finish. The National Veteran Rider Championships are spilt into minor and major categories. This year will see over 300 horses competing at the Championships.

As part of the build up to these Championships Dodson & Horrell has been following the progress of two talented riders, Sian Hinkins from Shropshire and Derbyshire based Eloise Dobrzynski who applied to blog their journeys to the final through a social media campaign in October. Their progress has been tracked for the final few weeks of preparation and their popular blogs can be found on the Dodson & Horrell website and social media channels.

Three of the Championship finals take place on the Sunday 22 November and will have the added bonus of being awarded their prizes by Dodson & Horrell Brand Ambassador and young international showjumper, Yazmin Pinchen, who this year added a big career win to her portfolio, winning the Grand Prix CSI4*at Bolesworth International.

Sam Horrell, Marketing Director at Dodson & Horrell said, “We are thrilled to have such a competitive field at the Championships this year, the competition is a highlight of the showjumping year for many competitors and we have thoroughly enjoyed being part of it. The Championships gives us the chance to support the sport at its grassroots and engage with many of our customers.”
