With the British Showjumping National Championships and Stoneleigh Horse Show in full swing, we are overwhelmed with the level of competition and have high hopes for the rest of the show. The Andrews Bowen Indoor Arena provided some fantastic competitions today with an array of show jumping excellence.  The day began with some impressive rounds in the Stepping Stones Championship Finals, with Aimee Jones riding Arrogan Emily T R taking the 128cm Championship title and Emily Notman riding Bailey XII taking home the 138cm Championship title. This class was followed by the National Pony 1.15m Members Cup Final and the National 1.30m Open Championship Final which saw Alexander Mclean on Red Flamenco and Ms Sally Hopkinson riding Cartouche 11 Take the championship titles in two fabulous competitions. This arena also saw the Squibb Group Pony Foxhunter Masters Class in which Tahnia Jordan- Jones riding Sulan Hollywood Knight and Millie Dickinson on Claddagh Prince took first and second place respectively in a nail-biting stand off. The day ended with a spectacular finale at the National Gentlemen’s Championship Final where Robert Smith riding Ilton VD Spithoeve delivered a breath-taking performance bagging him the Championship title and ending the day on a high.

After a fantastic day of preliminary rounds in the All Weather - Arena One, we have some great finals shaping up. The National B&C Championship Preliminary Round 1 saw Mr Jay Halim and Abrisco lead the way into the qualifying round with an impressive performance.  Second place was awarded to Lance Whitehouse and Lady Rouge II who also completed the course in a fantastic time. The competitors in the National 138cm Championship Preliminary round 2 gathered to fight it out for a spot in the final.  8 competitors qualified for the final with Ms Isabelle Ryder on The Agent coming out on top.

All Weather- Arena Two followed suit with a brilliant day of Preliminaries. Starting off with the Red Horse Equestrian National 5YO Championship Preliminary Round 2 and an intense battle between the riders for double clears which would see them through to the final. In a phenomenal round, all riders achieved double clears and therefore ranked 1st place. This was followed by the National 6YO Championships, and National 148cm Championship preliminary rounds. The only final of the day on this arena provided the crowds with a fantastic show in the National Pony 1.15m Members Cup Consolation final where Isabelle Watson and Beyond Doubt II took the top qualifying spot.
