Claudia Moore and Tabitha Kyle land the Charles Britton Equestrian Construction Winter JA Classic Qualifiers at Arena UK

The Charles Britton Equestrian Construction Winter JA Classic Qualifiers took place at Arena UK in Grantham, Lincolnshire over the weekend during their Pony Premier Show.
The qualifiers saw the top three combinations from each day claim a qualifying ticket for the Charles Britton Equestrian Construction Winter JA Classic Championship which will be held at SouthView Competition & Training Centre in April.
Charles Britton Equestrian Construction Winter JA Classic Qualifier – Saturday 29th February 2020
Six of the initial twenty-four starters successfully negotiated their way around Neil Foster’s 1.30m first round track but only four could pull another clear out of the bag in the second round. Claudia Moore from Brentwood, Essex clinched the top spot with an efficient third round clear. She steered Katrina Moore’s Elando Van De Roshoeve through the finish line in 39.18 seconds and in doing so, they were the only combination to break the 40 seconds barrier.
Tabitha Kyle was close behind with Claire Lockhead’s Gangnam Style II. They produced their third round clear in 40.43 seconds. Elissa Herrmann produced the third treble clear of the class with Edwina Herrmann’s Lapislazuli, they came home in 49.53 seconds.

2nd Tabitha Kyle & Gangnam Style II - 0/0/0 – 40.43 seconds
3rd Elissa Herrmann & Lapislazuli - 0/0/0 – 49.53 seconds

Charles Britton Equestrian Construction Winter JA Classic Qualifier – Sunday 1st March 2020

A smaller field stepped forward to take on Course Designer Neil Foster’s 1.30m first round track on the second day of the Pony Premier Show at Arena UK. Tabitha Kyle from Wymeswold, Leicestershire set out to go one better than the previous day and claimed a comfortable win with Claire Lockhead’s Gangnam Style II. The combination produced three foot-perfect clears for the second day running, this time stopping the clock with 3.56 seconds to spare.
Also pulling a treble clear out of the bag was Grace Shuddall Hughes. She piloted Jonathon Shuddall’s Whitehorn Girl to a time of 41.74 seconds which was good enough to take the runners up spot. Tabitha featured in the line up again, this time with Nightgirl Van Het Sonnishof Z, owned by Tanya Kyle. The combination produced a time of 47.41 seconds but a couple of early faults left them in third place.
