Ciaron Nallon wins the Final The Stable Company HOYS 138cms Qualifier at the Welsh Home Pony

Ireland’s Ciaron Nallon executed a super-cool, super-fast round to head The Stable Company HOYS 138cm on Kate Wachman’s Kiltormer Hero at the David Broome Event Centre, Wales and West, winning by 0.45 sec.

Irish visitor, 14 year-old Ciaron was here for the Home Pony International team competition – where he claimed the bronze medal alongside his teammates, as well as being competitive in several other classes.

A total of twenty-eight from sixty-seven starters provided first round clears, but these were whittled down to ten for a tense, exciting, jump-off.

Scotland’s Shaunie Greig – winner of Hickstead’s 138cm final on Buttons Two just a few days earlier – was in-form to take second on the 15-year-old Irish mare Drumaclan Flight.

Over a now substantial track, Iwan Carpenter produced a third, sensibly steady clear on the young but talented 6-year-old Follow Jazzy Lady for third place.

With the fastest time of the class but at the cost of a pole on the floor, Tahnia Jordan-Jones took fourth on Thyme Flies.  Faye Sutton slotted Fast Fun into fifth just ahead of Harry Wood and Rapkyns Paddy’s Day.
