Summer Pony Premier Delivers Exciting Competition at Bogenraith Equestrian

Bogenraith Equestrian played host to an exciting Summer Pony Premier at the weekend, with riders from across the country competing for top honours across a range of prestigious classes. From Horse of the Year Show qualification to Second Round success, the competition showcased the depth of talent within British pony showjumping.
Henry Leggott Claims Pony Showjumper of the Year Victory
Twenty-five rider combinations came forward to tackle John Bedford's Pony Showjumper of the Year course, with just three producing faultless first rounds to secure their place in the jump-off.
It was Henry Leggott who claimed the title aboard The Blossom Stud's Blossom's Big Claim, producing the fastest clear of the jump-off in 37.40 seconds.
Amy Capper partnered Oscar Van De Beekerheide into second place after stopping the clock in 39.39 seconds, while Lavinia Ecclestone and Queen Star completed the podium after electing to withdraw from the jump-off following their first-round clear.
Harvey Foley Secures HOYS 128cm Qualifier Success
The Horse of the Year Show 128cm Qualifier attracted 22 rider combinations, with six combinations jumping clear through the opening rounds to earn a place in the jump-off.
Harvey Foley continued his excellent form by taking victory aboard Sorcha Foley's Silver Legend, producing a superb clear round in 25.78 seconds.
Second place went to Tim Morton riding Blueoak Rockstar, who crossed the finish line clear in 26.84 seconds, while Conor Barnes and Creevagh Pringles completed the top three with a clear in 31.95 seconds.
Harvey Foley Doubles Up in the HOYS 138cm Qualifier
Harvey Foley completed a memorable double after also claiming the Horse of the Year Show 138cm Qualifier.
Twenty-four rider combinations came forward, with five progressing to the jump-off after producing double clears through the opening rounds. Riding Sorcha Foley's Mayfly Green Peter, Harvey delivered another impressive performance, stopping the clock in 26.05 seconds to secure the win.
Eleanor Bastian-Mason finished second aboard Little Emerald with a clear in 33.17 seconds, while Felicity Watts and Sparkling Mr Gucci claimed third after a faultless round in 34.64 seconds.
Francesca Finneran Sole Double Clear in Pony Newcomers Second Round
Thirty rider combinations contested the Pony Newcomers Second Round, where John Bedford's challenging track proved influential.
Only one combination managed to produce two faultless rounds, with Francesca Finneran partnering Selina Finneran's For Joy to secure victory as the class's sole double clear, booking their place at the Championship Final.
The Summer Pony Premier at Bogenraith Equestrian once again provided a fantastic showcase of Britain's up-and-coming pony riders, with Horse of the Year Show qualification places secured and Championship Final tickets earned following a weekend of high-quality competition.
