Watch the Al Shira’aa Derby live on Hickstead.TV

Viewers will be able to watch all the action from the International Arena online during this week’s Al Shira’aa Hickstead Derby Meeting (22-25 June).

A mix of national and international showjumping, showing and driving classes will be broadcast live to viewers on the Hickstead.TV online platform, which equestrian fans from around the globe can enjoy free of charge.

The coverage begins on Thursday 22 June with a single camera livestream from 9.30am until the conclusion of the Bunn Leisure Derby Tankard. Then from Friday onwards, the single camera livestream will show every event in the International Arena, with a full TV webcast delivering the action from the main showjumping classes each day.

This includes the Al Shira’aa Derby, held on Sunday afternoon, in which riders jump round the famous Hickstead Derby course and tackle obstacles such as the double of water ditches, the Devil’s Dyke, the fearsomely wide water jump and the 10ft 6in descent of the Derby bank.

The Hickstead.TV production by Impact Media features commentary from triple Hickstead Derby winner John Ledingham, alongside presenter Adam Cromarty.

To watch Hickstead.TV, viewers simply need to head to the website, log on or register to view, then enjoy the livestream along with a host of added extras, including video interviews, features and archive classes.

Highlights of this year’s Al Shira’aa Derby will also be broadcast on Sky Sports 3 at 6pm and 9pm on Wednesday 28 June, with several other showings on 29-30 June for those who miss the premiere.

The highlights will also be shown at 9pm on Wednesday 5 July on Horse & Country TV, which is available to view on Sky channel 253 in the UK and Ireland, as well as Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Australia. H&C TV will also show highlights from the British Speed Derby, later this summer.
