Phillip Miller and Unbelievable Lady storm to victory in the New Forest

As the initial legs of the International Stairway series came to a close yesterday at the New Forest and Hampshire show, it was Phillip Miller with Shirley Light’s 8 year-old  chestnut mare Unbelievable Lady that stormed to first place.

Nigel Coupe from Lancashire added pivotal league points to those he had already accrued by finishing in second place with Susan Simmon’s 12 year-old bay gelding Golvers Hill.  Their performance was enough to see them leap to the top of the league table as we approach the Final which takes place at the British Showjumping National Championships in a few weeks time.

It was certainly a good day for Nigel as he also took third place with another one of his rides, Jubilee III, an 11 year-old chestnut mare owned by John O’Halloran.
