Elite K takes the Foxhunter Masters
Wednesday 31 August 2011

Tuesday saw the Horse & Hound Foxhunter Masters take place at the Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival. Out of thirty three starters only five combinations made it into the jump off. Course Designer Michael Hause built a testing jump off course putting all the combinations though their paces. With no combinations managing to jump within the time aloud Michael had found their weakness.
Drawn first to go was South Humberside based Matthew Boddy riding Morgan Kent’s seven year old bay gelding Zuccero. Jumping clear in a time of 54.91 seconds Mathew held on to the lead until second to last to go Danielle Farnsworth from Nottingham. Riding Jane Noton’s seven year old bay mare Elite K Danielle jumped clear in a time of 52.21 seconds which put her in to the lead with only one competitor left to jump.
Last to go was Lancashire based Robert Maguire riding the seven year old bay gelding Beckham IV owned by Michelle Rothwell. Although managing to beat Danielle’s jump off time Robert lowered just one fence in a time of 52.05 seconds to pick up third place.
