Danielle Ryder wins the SEIB Winter Novice Qualifier at Northcote Stud
Monday 23 January 2023

The SEIB Winter Novice Qualifier held at Northcote Stud on Saturday, 21 January 2023 was won by Danielle Ryder, from Preston, riding her own Careful Touched Numo Z.
From a starting field of 34 horse and rider combinations, just 12 navigated a first round clear for a place in the jump off.
An impressive seven of those produced a double clear in the jump off, and knowing the clock would decide top spot, late draw Danielle used speed and tight turns to her advantage.
Danielle steered Careful Touched Numo Z, her six-year-old grey mare, over the finish line in a time of 34.90 seconds, two seconds clear of second place.
Hot on their heels and taking the runner up spot was Brian Thompson and L. Millfield Pollyanna, who couldn’t quite match the speed of Danielle, jumping a double clear in 36.84 seconds.
