Come & Support Great Britain in the UK Leg of the Meydan Nations Cup

 
 
The UK leg of the Meydan FEI Nations Cup will take place this Friday (30th July). The Nations Cup will be held at the world famous All England Jumping Course, Hickstead in West Sussex.
 
The team that will represent Great Britain will be, Peter Charles, Tina Fletcher, William Funnell, Robert Smith and Michael Whitaker.
 
Peter Charles from Alton, Hampshire will ride the ever consistent Murka’s Pom d’Ami who is jointly owned by Olga White and Team Murka Ltd. This Partnership have been the mainstay of the British Team throughout the 2010 Meydan FEI Nations Cup series.
 
Oxfordshire based Tina Fletcher will ride the 11 year old chestnut gelding Hello Sailor who is owned by Lady Pauline Harris. This will be their second appearance at a top level Nations Cup, with the first being at Falsterbo where they jumped clear in the first round but had an unlucky time fault in the second.
 
William Funnell from Dorking, Surrey will partner the Billy Studs British Bred 9 year old brown stallion Billy Congo. This will be the combinations second Top Level Nations Cup appearance with the first being in Falsterbo.
 
Midlands based Robert Smith and the 10 year old bay stallion Talan who is jointly owned by himself, Diana and Penny Cornish will make their Meydan FEI Nations Cup debut at Hickstead. At the beginning of the year Robert and Talan represented Great Britain in the 5* Nations Cup in Abu Dhabi where the team took the first place.
 
Nottinghamshire based Michael Whitaker will ride the 10 year old dark bay gelding GIG Amai II who is owned by Beatrice Mertens. This combination represented Great Britain at the World Cup in Geneva earlier on in the year. Michael is currently lying third on the GBR Ranking List.
 
The Nations Cup will take place this Friday (30th July) at 13:45 and will be streamed online by FEI TV (www.feitv.org).
