Brook Farm Training Centre Host a KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Regional Final

The fourth KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Regional Final took place this weekend (Saturday 18th May 2013) at Brook Farm Training Centre in Romford, Essex and the class attracted a total of 75 eligible starters.

From the total number of starters, 13 went on to achieve the treble clear required to qualify for the KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Championship Final, which will be held at the Alexanders Horseboxes British Showjumping Scope Festival (25th – 31st August 2013).

Following three closely fought and competitive rounds of showjumping, the eventual winner of this regional final was 27 year-old Michael Fursedonn from Brentwood, Essex on board his own 5 year-old bay gelding, Darcode. The combination produced an immaculate treble clear in a time of 38.26 seconds to take victory.

Second place was taken by 35 year-old Rosanna Marston from Cranbrook, Kent and she achieved her treble clear on Just Call Me B, a 7 year-old bright bay gelding owned by Jane Marston. Their time of 38.80 seconds was enough to ensure a top two finish.

The combination in third was 29 year-old Ricki Hill from Benfleet, Essex and he rode Jacqueline Hill’s 6 year-old chestnut gelding, Essex Boy. This combination also produced a treble clear in sub 40.00 seconds to finish on a time of 39.55 seconds.

A further 10 combinations also achieved a treble clear and a total of 13 combinations will now go forward to the KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Championship Final.

The Alexanders Horseboxes British Showjumping Scope Festival 2013 will take place from the 25th – 31st August 2013 at Staffordshire County Showground.
