British Showjumping Eastern Region Intro League Awards Ceremony

The Eastern region Intro League 2008/2009, in association with Absolute Horse magazine, reached a scorching finale. With over 500 riders competing throughout the 8 leagues the winners enjoyed a successful awards ceremony with prizes being presented by top riders; Phil Spivey to the seniors and Tim Page to the juniors.
Organised and hosted by John Jacks, the winners enjoyed a buffet lunch and Absolute Horse magazine’s Editor, Jeanetta La-Four said, “We were delighted with the prizes for the winners awarded on the day. They showed determination and talent to win and they deserved them.”
The awards took place on Sunday October 25th at The Jays, near Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk, the prize pot included a pair of Tretorn Advanced Performance Boots and an Ayr8 helmet to the highest scoring Senior, Melissa Eagles riding Casper III and Junior, Ruby Pointer riding Bockmer Madison. Roy Burek from Charles Owen & Co, who kindly donated these amazing prizes said, “Both these products are of the very latest design technology and we are delighted to be able to support the worthy winners.”
Other prizes included British Showjumping jackets and saddle clothes, MacWet gloves, Baileys Horse Feeds vouchers, Equilibrium Products Tri-Zone tendon and brushing boots, Toggi Team GBR polo shirts and accessories and NAF Superflex.
Absolute Horse magazine have published a British Showjumping Intro League table every month throughout the year and profiled each winner in their October edition. Publisher Peter Dodd added, “Within Absolute Horse magazine we aim to feature all levels of riders and these talented amateurs are really leading the field. The British Showjumping leagues have been highly competitive and closely followed by many readers. We aim to continue our support next year when we envisage the awards will be even better. Well done to all who took part.”
