British Showjumping are recruiting for a Chief Operating Officer

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will support the Chief Executive as part of the Senior Management team, managing assets and the property portfolio, including Building 2020 where our office is based in Meriden and our 120-acre National Training Centre in Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will assist British Showjumping in continuing to diversify and increase this portfolio.
The COO will be responsible for overseeing the Association’s daily business operations and administration, implementing business strategies, optimising the organisation’s operational capabilities, while leading and motivating staff and assisting with facilities management.
Job Description:
• Supervising all daily operations, including finance, HR, IT, marketing and sales
• Preparing and presenting reports and budgets to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors including monthly and quarterly management information
• Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer to build relationships across the sporting sector
• Responsible for facilities management
• Developing and implementing strategies, procedures and business plans needed to enhance Association activities
• Working with the executive team to set organisational performance goals
• Cultivating and providing opportunities for rising talent within the organisation
• Acting as lead liaison with the Association’s auditors in the preparation of the annual financial statements
Any other related duties that are within the employee's skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed, remaining flexible to the needs of the business.
Full Time: Monday-Friday (9am-5pm) - 35 hrs a week
