British Showjumping - Para Jumping Development Day

Interested in becoming involved in Para Jumping? Want to be involved in the development of the sport? British Showjumping has confirmed two Para Jumping Development Days, to account for coaches and riders in the North and the South of the country. Both sessions have the same content and delivery process.

North- Monday 17th February at Middleton Park EC [Leeds]

South – Wednesday 19th February at The Diamond EC [Surrey]

The aims and objectives of each Para Jumping Development day is to:

  • To increase coaches understanding of:
    • the Para rider pathway
    • Current and future Para rider opportunities within British Showjumping
    • The classification system of para riders
  • To improve coaches confidence to coach the Para rider
  • To develop coaching skills when working with a range of Para riders
  • To increase the number of British Showjumping coaches available to Para riders with knowledge and skills to meet their needs
  • Identifying a network of coaches with an interest in working with Para riders in British Showjumping
  • Networking between RDA showjumping coaches and British Showjumping coaches and understanding the role of the Supra Regional Coach
  • Offer current Para Jumping riders the opportunity to train and develop through practical sessions.

Who is able attend:

Any BS qualified coach who is interested in working with Para riders

RDA showjumping Coaches

Current Para Jumping members

Potential Para Jumping members.

Format of the training days:

The training will be a full day including both workshop based learning and practical elements.
