Just for Schools Summer Championship Final 2025

Riders from across the country came together on Monday for the British Showjumping Just For Schools Summer Championships, held at Stoneleigh, showcasing the talent, teamwork, and determination of young equestrians representing their schools. With strong performances and enthusiastic team spirit, the Championships celebrated the very best of youth showjumping.

In the Individual 60cm Final, Durham based Maya Patterson, fresh from her win in the NAF 3* Style and Performance Final, flew to top spot with Swallowtail by 0.56 seconds.  Michael Kelly steered Dimples Dilema into second place, 0.56 seconds off the pace whilst MiaLilly Swailes, who was representing Durham Academy, took third with Dylan III, crossing the finish a further 2.77 seconds in arrears.

In the 60cm team final, Queen Elizabeth’s School, made up of Jasmine Rattenbury (Ambra Isca), Maisie Weeks (Knockmenagh Peppoli), Chloe Rattenbury (Tif Tof) & Megan Huskinson (Bryn & Tonic), came out on top with a score of zero. The Hugh Sexey Middle School team of Thea Pompey (Irish Rouge,  Pippa Dark (Polarislady) and Jessica Quick (Red Rebel IV) took home second whilst the Kitebrook Oaks team of Felicity Fairweather (Saint Suze),  Petra Gilder (Lucky Lane Booker) and Rex Binnie (Wannaville Winston Fury) picked up third.

Wiltshire’s Darcy Hubbard and Treflan Nero took the top spot in the Individual 70cm final with a flawless round completed in 24.36 seconds. Close behind, Charlotte Noys, who was representing Didcot Girls School, delivered a clean round aboard Amners Hot Spring to finish second in 24.54 seconds. Michael Kelly secured third place with Ryehall Bell Coture, also producing a double clear in a time of 24.70 seconds.

In the 70cm Team final, the team of Luchia Dawe (Ardlea Perry One), Grace Barker (Montruth Mission Impossible) Rosie Broome (Thistledown Gregory’s Girl) , Millie Oran (II Captain ) from Dixie Grammar School took home first place on a score of zero. The Queen Elizabeth’s team of Jasmine Rattenbury (Ambra Isca) / Maisie Weeks (Knockmenagh Peppoli) & Megan Huskinson (Bryn & Tonic) claimed second place whilst the Hugh Sexey  Middle School team of  Theo Wills (Bango) / Jessica Quick (Red Rebel) / Pippa Dark (Polaris Lady) / Thea Pompey (Irish Rogue) picked up another placing, finishing in third.

Charlotte Noys went one better to claim victory in the Individual 80cm final, with a flawless round on Amners Hot Springs in 24.57 seconds. Darcy Hubbard and Treflan Nero finished close behind in second place with a clear round timed at 25.53 seconds. Taking third was Amaya Cairns from Robert Burns Academy, who rode Llanidan Sea Biscuit to a double clear in 26.58 seconds.

The Kitebrook Ashes team of Grace Cash (Uncle Austin) - who was fresh from her victory in the 70cm KBIS Club final - Raphaelle Binnie (Rimrock Merlock Gio), Freya Davies (Ballyard Tim), Sienna Rimes (Ballyknock Master Roan) claimed top honours. The Dixie Grammar School team of Luchia Dawe (Ardlea Perry One), Grace Barker (Montruth Mission Impossible) Rosie Broome (Thistledown Gregory’s Girl) , Millie Oran (II Captain) picked up their second placing of the day with a second place finish whilst the Robert Burns Academy team of  Sophie Cairns (Wee Vintage) / Eva Woods (Follow Me Junior) / Brook Scott (Lajgaardens Cassandro) / Millie Collins (Pie Oh My) came home in third.

Somerset based Harriet Lister and Cashmir Jumper sped to victory in the Individual 90cm final with a flawless round, crossing the finish in 25.84 seconds. Eleanor Bastian Mason from Boundary Oak School secured second place riding Fenrose Magic Moon, finishing clear in 26.50 seconds. Jamie LimGoulder of Wellington College took third aboard Silverlinings Touch of Class, completing a double clear round in 26.62 seconds.

Guilford High School team of Amelie Bigmore (Bobnamara), Emily Jopp (Uptons Deli  Carousel), Enoki Calvert-Ansari (Where’s My Colour) and Keira Merriman (Midnight Time) finished in first place. Gillingham School rider, Beth Walford (JB’s Hot Shot), Olivia Blackmore (Buachaill Dhoire), George Walford (Meadowsweet Conker) battled hard to secure second place whilst the Robert Burns Academy riders -  Sienna Nisbet (Mr Budizer), Eva Mccrorie (Kilclogher Danny), Amaya Cairns (Llanidan Sea Biscuit), Sophie Cairns (Wee Vintage) – claimed another top three finish.

Kate Barrett of Norwich High School took the top spot in the 1m individual final, delivering a flawless round on Marley’s Clover in 25.73 seconds. Eleanor Bastian Mason from Boundary Oak School followed closely in second place aboard Fenrose Magic Moon, completing a clear round in 26.71 seconds. Lola Batch representing Wymondham College secured third place with Oh Reilly, finishing double clear in 29.14 seconds.

What a day for riders from the Robert Burns Academy as the team of Nicole Cairns (Corkhill Lady), Eva Mccrorie (Kilclogher Danny), Rebekka Sutherland (Moneylagen Friday) and Elliana Prentice (Breeze De Quidam) picked up a third place, this time victorious. The team of Daisy Broome (Emilys Boy) / Lilymae Dawe (Marino III)  / Charlotte Oram (Kilcorban Hanzel) from the Dixie Grammar School also picked up another placing whilst Cassandra Cope (Michelob) / Daria Hinkis (Calcourt Mustard) / Sydney Gibbons (Scutchers) from Wyecombe Abbey rode their way to third place.

Kate Barrett continued her winning form in the 1.10m individual final, producing a flawless round on Marley’s Clover in 30.09 seconds. Cassandra Cope, riding for Wycombe Abbey, also delivered a double clear, finishing second aboard Hamlets Fire in 32.25 seconds. Taking third place was Camilla LimGoulder from Wellington College, who rode Rockmount Casper to a clear round timed at 32.70 seconds.
