TEAM CHAMPION ROUND-UP FROM LUMMEN
Sunday 06 May 2012

John Whitaker with Maximillian an 11-year-old stallion owned by Claire Whitaker produced one of the only three clear rounds of the Hyundai Grand Prix in Lummen this afternoon.
The jump-off saw all three repeating their performance by jumping clear, however a time fault for John relegated him to third place. A new partnership for John in 2012, he would have been pleased with Maximillian’s performance in this 1.60m Grand Prix.
Thursday saw Team Champion contest the 4* FEI Nations Cup of Belgium with fourteen nations coming forward. Will Funnell and Billy Angelo, a chestnut gelding owned by Julie Slade were the pathfinders for the team and produced one of the only four double clears of the competition.
