Twelve Successful Riders Selected for the International Experience Programme

Twelve riders have been selected for the International Experience Programme (IEP) following the CSI 2* Chepstow International, where riders put themselves forward for consideration. With the support of Sport England, British Showjumping launched the IEP in 2014. The programme, which is aimed at riders aged 16-30 years provides both support and guidance for those wishing to make their first step into international competition. 

During Chepstow International CSI2* all riders hoping for selection had the opportunity to participated in:

  • Course Walks
  • FEI Clean Sport/ Doping Workshop
  • Travelling horses abroad talk
  • Veterinary talk
  • Youth Team Assistant available for advice/questions
  • Performance Observation

After this show, the twelve riders that have been selected will now go on to attend the Arena UK International CSI2* and CSIYH1* (7th - 9th June) where additional support will be provided. The twelve successful riders are as follows:

  • Kathryn Ellison
  • Rachel Gallop
  • Megan Howard
  • Charlotte Lee
  • Georgia Lovett
  • Laura Mantel
  • Charles Richards
  • Rebecca Symons
  • Rachel Walker
  • James Winter

Following Arena UK, six of the group will then be selected to attend an FEI competition abroad, accompanied by an on-hand coach who will support the riders for the duration of the show.
