Tony Pearson takes the top spot in the SEIB Winter Novice Qualifier at Bury Farm Equestrian Centre

Bury Farm Equestrian Centre in Slapton, Buckinghamshire held a number of Winter Qualifiers over the weekend including a SEIB Winter Novice Qualifier on Sunday morning and it was Tony Pearson from Maidenhead, Berkshire who took the win.
Twenty-one of the initial fifty-seven starters jumped clear around Phil Ashworth’s first round track but it was the two combinations to leave all of the jumps up that claimed the two qualifying tickets on offer for the Championship Final at the Royal International Horse Show, Hickstead, West Sussex.
Riding Kerry Grimster’s 6 year-old bay gelding Seapatrick Cardento, Tony whipped through the finish line in 29.64 seconds, 0.59 of a second ahead of his nearest rival.
Second place was awarded to Harry Bateman from Hockley, Essex and Lex Lokoda, an 8 year-old British bred bay gelding owned by Teza Englefield. They crossed the finish line in 30.23 seconds to gain their well-earned qualifying ticket.
