The Haddon Training British Grooms Awards

Haddon Training has just announced its sponsorship of the British Grooms Awards. Last presented in 2009, these two esteemed awards have been revitalised with fantastic prizes for the winning grooms, and presentations being made at the prestigious British Breeders’ Awards Dinner early in January 2015.

Grooms can be nominated by employers, friends, family and even by themselves. Nominations will set out the reasons why the nominee deserves the award and ask for an example of a situation where the groom has shown that they should win the title of either:

The Haddon Training British Grooms Award, which is open to all grooms in the equestrian industry; those working in competition yards, riding schools, welfare centres, trekking centres and studs will be equally eligible.

The Haddon Training Team GBR Grooms Award, which will be open to any groom who was part of Team GBR at the Alltech World Equestrian Games 2014 and supported any Team GBR athlete in the following disciplines:- Dressage, Eventing, Showjumping, Driving, Endurance, Reining, Vaulting and Para-Equestrian Dressage.

Chris Hewlett, Managing Director of Haddon Training says, “Haddon Training are delighted to be supporting the British Grooms Awards as we recognise what a valuable contribution skilled grooms make to the welfare of horses. We all benefit from their successes in the equine world.”

Jan Rogers, BEF Head of Equine Development said, “The British Grooms Awards always used to play an integral part in the Awards presentation and with Haddon Training’s generous support we are thrilled to have been able to reinstate them to recognise these extremely dedicated and hardworking people whose contribution is so valuable."

Two well-respected independent equestrians will act as judges, who with the assistance of Chris Hewlett will select the winners from the short-listed candidates in each category. The two winners plus partners will be invited to the Awards ceremony where they will receive a trophy and selection of prizes.

The awards will be presented at the annual British Breeders’ Awards Dinner, hosted and organised by the British Horse Foundation in London on 10 January 2015.
