Riders selected for 2019 ‘Step up to Gold’ Programme

British Showjumping, in conjunction with Sport England, is delighted to announce the next cohort of riders selected on to the ‘Step Up to Gold’ Programme which commences in 2020.

Eight riders have now been selected to come forward on to the programme following on from the three training and selection days held last month. The performance criteria for selection was maintained at a higher level aligned to the World Class Pathway and a number of applications of the highest calibre were received.

The training programme will focus on developing riders in order for them to be able to make the transition into competing or establishing themselves at 1.40m+ in British Showjumping competitions.

Based on a similar structure to this year, there will be three National Training days held during the course of the programme. Riders will compete at International Shows both abroad and in the UK with support from programme lead coach Matt Lanni and their home based coaches.

Josie Symons

Leo Lamb

Madison Jamison

If you are interested in being involved with this training programme, the applications for the seventh cohort of this programme will open around August 2020.
