Pony Second Rounds at Richmond Equestrian Centre

Richmond Equestrian Centre in Tunstall, North Yorkshire saw pony riders turn out in force last weekend leading to some fiercely contested Second Round classes.

Pony Discovery Second Round - Saturday 15th July 2017

Producing a treble clear performance and taking top spot was 12 year-old Paige Wright from Follifoot in Harrogate riding Lucky Bay, a 14 year-old brown gelding owned by Patricia Jones. This pair posted a foot perfect round in 44.76 seconds to secure a place in the Pony Discovery Final which will be held at the British Showjumping National Championships in August.

Pony British Novice Second Round – Sunday 16th July 2017

Taking home first place was 12 year-old Emilie Wright from Stockton-On-Tees riding Emoe Little Moore, an 8 year-old appaloosa gelding owned by Elizabeth Leak. This partnership delivered a speedy treble clear in 37.28 seconds.   

With ten qualification places on offer for the Pony British Novice Championship Final which will be held at the British Showjumping National Championships in August, it proved to be a competitive class.

The British Showjumping National Championships 2017 will take place during the 8th – 13th August at the National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre (NAEC), Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.
