Harry Charles and Bambina win CSI3* Grand Prix at Oliva Nova

The Union flag was aloft today at the Centro Ecuestre Oliva Nova in Spain when Harry Charles took victory in the CSI3* Grand Prix on Bambina, a 10 year-old bay mare owned by Hill House Equine Ltd.

Sixty starters came forward to contest the up to height 1.50m Grand Prix sponsored by Trofeo CHG and sixteen were able to access the jump off. Ten combinations went on to secure double clear performances and the fastest of these came from Harry and Bambina.

Harry rode with great precision and pace to come through the finish line in 38.75 seconds, 0.01 of a second ahead of his nearest rival, Britain’s Chad Fellows. Chad delivered his double clear in 38.76 seconds on board Vinci de Beaufour, a 10 year-old chestnut gelding owned by Vladimir Tuganov. The top three was rounded off by Spain’s Santiago Nunez Riva on Valentino de Hus Z.

Jess Dimmock and Scarlett Charles also secured double clears to finish in 9th and 10th place on Primo Bella Swan and Lordanos Junior respectively.
