British Showjumping Data Breach

Friday 12 December 2014

British Showjumping became aware of a data protection breach in September 2014 that involved a significant number of British Showjumping members personal information.

On behalf of British Showjumping we have sincerely expressed our personal and profound apologies for this to all the affected individuals concerned. We are working closely with the individuals and have reported the matter to the Information Commissioner’s Office,  who will be investigating and we do not consider it to be appropriate to comment further at this time.

We have taken immediate steps to prevent a reoccurrence.  We protect our members data and feel we have let them down on this occasion. It is important to British Showjumping that we are open and transparent about this incident and the measures we have taken.
