British riders do a one-two in the CSI 3* Ommen Grand Prix

It was a British riders that took the top two spots in yesterday’s 1.55m Grand Prix held at the CSI 3* Ommen show in Holland.
Laura Renwick from Maldon, Essex riding her husband John’s 8 year-old chestnut gelding Heliodor Hybris fought off competition from fifty-nine other combinations to take the top spot and take the lion’s share of the €61,500 prize pot on offer.
William Funnell from Dorking, Surrey with Billy Stud’s 9 year-old chestnut gelding Billy Onslow finished in second after producing their double clear in 38.25 seconds.
Third place went to home rider Maikel van der Vleuten with VDL Groep Arera C, who produced their second foot perfect round in 38.67 seconds.
