The Equiyd National Amateur & Veterans Championships will be held at Aintree International Equestrian Centre for its 17th year

British Showjumping is delighted to confirm that Aintree International Equestrian Centre will once again host the Equiyd National Amateur & Veterans Championships in 2026, marking an impressive 17th consecutive year that the Championships have been staged at this prestigious venue.
The 2026 Championships will take place from 10–15 November. Dates for the second-round qualifiers will be announced in April, while first-round qualifiers are currently underway at British Showjumping events nationwide.
A firm favourite within the amateur and veteran community, the Championships have become a highlight of the calendar, valued not only for the competitive opportunities they provide but also for the unique atmosphere and sense of occasion that Aintree delivers. For many riders, competing at Aintree is particularly special, and the venue continues to hold a strong place in the hearts of those taking part.

The 2026 Equiyd National Amateur & Veterans Championships promise to once again celebrate the dedication, talent and community spirit of amateur and veteran riders, set against the backdrop of one of British Showjumping’s most cherished venues.
How to Qualify:
There is still plenty of time to qualify for the Equiyd National Amateur Championships, with First Round classes running all the way to the end of August as part of the annual qualifying period (1 September – 31 August inclusive).
Combinations who secure a First Round double clear will qualify for the Second Rounds, while five First Round double clears will earn the combination a direct place at the Championship Show at Aintree International Equestrian Centre. The Second Round competitions will take place during September and October, where the top eight combinations will qualify for the Championship Show, provided the combination jump clear in the first round of the Second Round competition.
