Equiyd National Amateur Second Rounds at Dorset Showground
Wednesday 24 September 2025
The Equiyd National Amateur Second Rounds continued at the weekend, this time at Dorset Showground, where competitors from across the region came forward to contest their place at the prestigious Championships at Aintree. Course designer Clive Phillips set a series of testing tracks which asked plenty of questions and produced exciting competition across the heights.
Seven rider combinations came forward to tackle the 85cm course, with only four delivering a clear round to book their place in the jump-off. After a withdrawal, just three combinations lined up for the final challenge. It was Phoebe Sealey who secured victory with her own Pauldary’s Co Jo, stopping the clock clear in 33.11 seconds. Second place went to Aimee Slimin riding D Ya Know with a neat clear in 34.24 seconds, while third place also went to Phoebe, this time with Amelusina II.
