PONY OF THE YEAR SHOW - STATEMENT 2013

We want to confirm that Pony of the Year Show 2013 is GOING AHEAD.

Despite the weather doing its best to dampen our spirits, all viable preparations are well underway.

All stables are empty of bedding. Ad lib straw will be available free of charge, to be used as a base in any stables should it be required. Wood chippings and tracking are being laid to the domed and temporary boxes, but as you will appreciate this needs to be done as close to the event as possible to be as effective as possible.

Sponsors’ will be parked on hard standing. All other lorries will be parked in the field and tracking, extra manpower and towing facilities are ready and waiting should they prove necessary.

On the subject of EVA, we are taking advice from British Showjumping daily. We expect all competitors to take all reasonable precautions to ensure their ponies are fit and well when they arrive on the showground. Please see the British Showjumping website for official guidelines.

All stables have been disinfected. However, as an added precaution, all ponies will be screened by a vet on arrival. Any ponies with a raised temperature, along with their travelling companions, will be isolated and asked to leave the showground.
All parents will no doubt appreciate that with the combination of bad weather operations and EVA precautions, arrival at Pony of the Year show will inevitably take a fair amount of time. Your patience and co-operation would be greatly appreciated.
