Upton’s Quickess wins the National 4 year-old Championship

It was the four-year old Upton's Quickess (Centino x Quick Star), owned by Marcine Marshall, that won the National 4 year-old Championship this morning ridden by Jessica Botham from Radway in Warwickshire.

A Style and Performance class, top international riders Angelie von Essen and Billy Twomey, also awarded points to each of the horses that came forward for their performance, rideability and technique.

It was Upton’s Quickess that shone as a star of the future to take the title finishing ahead of La Promesse (Fly x Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve) a brown mare owned by rider Danielle Ryder. Third place went to the stallion Q-Pleasure van Seven Oaks (For Pleasure) owned by Sandra Pavitt and ridden by daughter Nicole.
