TWO MORE BRITISH WINS IN BONHEIDEN

Following this weekends British success with our win at the Children’s Nations Cup in Bonheiden, Belgium our up and coming talent have proved themselves once more by taking the top two spots in the Grand Prix this afternoon (Monday 24th May).

With a strong field contesting the title, it was twelve year old Millie Allen riding Mrs Steel’s 10 year old 15.3hh bay mare Trueleva who came home clear in a time of 39.21 seconds securing her pole position. Less than two seconds behind her was thirteen year old Charlotte Smet riding Louise Morley’s ten year old, 15.3hh liver chestnut gelding Maneken du Coty, slotting her neatly into second place and securing a triumphant win for Britain by taking the top two placings in a class that was particularly well contested.

Chef d’equipe Corinne Bracken said ‘The two girls showed their class in the jump off against a field of twelve riders who were certainly more experienced than themselves. Millie was outstanding and rode worthy of someone three times her age. I’m so proud, not only of Mille and Charlotte but also the rest of the team out here with us’.
