TRI-ZONE SENIOR NEWCOMERS SECOND ROUND AT WESTON LAWNS

Diana Cornish’s 16.2hh, 7 year old bay gelding Text Back ridden by Philip Miller from Luton, Bedfordshire won the Tri-zone Senior Newcomers second round and qualified for the Horse of the Year Show, at Weston Lawns, at the end of June. Three clear rounds, the final one in 35.16 seconds, gave this 2009 Young Horse Show winner, a convincing victory over Husky, owned by Sarah Lynch and ridden by Victoria Young from Bottesford, Nottingham who completed their third clear in 36.39 seconds to take the second qualifying ticket for HOYS.
145 horses started in this marathon second round competition, they were reduced to 25 by the second jump off, which resulted in well deserved qualification for the above horses.

The first five combinations also qualified to compete at the Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival being held at Stafford County Showground from 29th August to 4th September 2010.
