The ever popular Tri-Zone Newcomers second rounds continued at Wales & West with 90 starters chasing two qualifying places for the 2010 Horse of the Year Show to be held from 6th to the 10th October at the NEC, Birmingham.
Miles Pearson from Bromsgrove, Worcestershire riding his own 16.2hh, 6 year old brown gelding Jonti won the class in fine style completing his third clear round in 44.91 seconds to take the first qualifying ticket. Second and the other qualifying place
went to Rachael Connor from Rossendale, Lancashire riding Robert Maguire’s 6 year old, 16.2hh chestnut gelding Zidane VIII who completed their third clear in 45.27.
Third went to Lola Wade and Bellagio II, fourth to Felix McCartney and Evamore, fifth to Robert Maguire and Elixir ST and sixth to Lucy Henderson and Queeny.

The first five combinations also qualified to compete at the Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival being held at Stafford County Showground from 29th August to 4th September 2010.
