‘TEAM CHAMPION’ HEAD TO LINZ

The four riders who will represent Great Britain at CSIO4* Linz in Austria taking place next week have been announced.
Tina Fletcher from Faringdon in Oxfordshire will ride Hello Sailor, an eleven year-old chestnut gelding owned by Lady Pauline Harris. Tina and Hello Sailor have recently returned from an international show in Hardelot, France where they were consistently well placed.
Making her British Team debut will be Anna Edwards, 26, from Clevedon in Avon with her own nine year-old bay gelding Unique IX. Anna has recently returned from the Toscana Tour in Italy where she and Unique IX secured top ten placings in the Grand Prix’s. Added to that they went onto win the recent Welsh Masters title at the Wales and The West Showground. Unique IX is a member of the World Class Showjumping Equine Pathway.
Gemma Paternoster, 25, will make her sixth British Team appearance aboard her own fourteen year-old bay gelding Osiris. Gemma and Osiris have recently returned from the Lummen Spring Tour where they were consistently placed throughout the Tour. Gemma is a member of the World Class Development Squad which is lottery funded through UK Sport and provides support across a wide range of support services as well as direct funding support.
Phillip Spivey from Ipswich in Suffolk will make his seventh British Team appearance with Tracey Forrest’s twelve year-old chestnut stallion, Romanov II. Phillip and Romanov have spent the last few weeks competing on the Villeneuve Loubet and Toscana Tour’s where they secured several Grand Prix placings and also featured in the British Nations Cup Team at Lummen at the end of last month.
The Team will be accompanied by Chef d’Equipe Di Lampard.
