Tabitha Kyle takes top spot in The Stable Company HOYS 138cms Qualifier at Arena UK

The Stable Company HOYS 138cm Qualifier at Arena UK in Grantham, Lincolnshire saw fifty-three starters arrive from all over the country and it was Tabitha Kyle who stepped up to take top spot.

Each combination had their sights set on a place in the top three to ensure their ticket to The Stable Company HOYS 138cms Championship Final held at the prestigious Horse of the Year Show in October. Following two action packed rounds over Neil Fosters challenging course, thirteen competitors remained in contention as all eyes moved to the clock to decide the winner.

Nine year-old Tabitha Kyle from Loughborough, Leicestershire headed in to the jump off full of determination on board Lissduff Royal, a 14 year-old grey gelding owned by Tanya Kyle. Rising to the challenge of the newly shortened course, this pair flew across the finish line in 33.61 seconds and straight in to first place with their treble clear.

Madison Heath, aged 12, from Nantwich, Cheshire secured second place and her ticket to the Horse of the Year show with three clear rounds on board Sonas Barney, a 20 year-old bay gelding owned by Graham Heath. This partnership crossed the finish line in 35.03 seconds.

Jumping into third place was 11 year-old Isabella Snowden from Harrogate, North Yorkshire riding Allen Birch’s 9 year-old dun gelding, Bingo Bong. This combination finished with a treble clear in 35.70 seconds.
