National 128cm Championships to offer 3 qualifying tickets to Horse of the Year Show

Wednesday 11 July 2018

The British Showjumping National 128cm Championship, which is contested at their National Championships at Stoneleigh in August, is this year offering three qualifying tickets to the Horse of the Year Show 128cm Championship.

This is a change for 2018 only and has been implemented to allow for a full field to contest the class at Horse of the Year Show.  Explaining the change Justine Naylor, National Director of Sport, commented “We had an opportunity this year where some spaces became available for competitors not already qualified for the 128cm Championship at Horse of the Year Show.  Having discussed the opportunity with the national sport committee, and also listened to feedback from members within this sector, it was decided that we should offer three qualifying tickets via our National 128cm Championship.  This decision gives all 128cm competitors, competing at the National Championships, a level playing field to qualify for Horse of the Year Show from and we are delighted to be incorporating the qualifying tickets into our national championships in this way.”

The amended class rules to reflect this change for 2018 and the eligibility criteria are listed below and will be updated on the online schedule in accordance with this
