Lily Freeman Attwood wins CSI4* Grand Prix of Fontainebleau

 

It was an outstanding performance by Lily Freeman Attwood riding Cor-Leon v. Vlierbeek Z that saw her win the CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix of Fontainebleau in France earlier today.

With only four combinations out of the almost fifty starters achieving a first round clear it was then only two that managed to achieve a second round clear.  Lily, took the win by stopping the clock in 36.25 seconds ahead ahead of home rider Olivier Perreau (FRA) on Venizia d’Aiguilly who, hot on Lily’s heels, crossed the finish line just a fraction of a second slower in 36.33 seconds.

Edward Levy (FRA) with Uno de Cerisy took 3rd as the fastest on 4 penalties with fello French rider Alexa Ferra on Uranie de Belcar taking 4th on 8 penalties.

This saw Lily not only head the line up for Great Britain but also the only Brit to finish in the top 20 such was her achievement.
