Katie wins the Tri-Zone Senior Newcomers at Southview

20 year old Katie Castle from Market Rasen, Lincoln took first place in the Tri-Zone Senior Newcomers Second Round, which was held at Southview Competition and Training Centre in mid July.
Katie took the first place prize fund and the first of the qualifying places for The Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) riding Phillipa Castle’s 11 year old bay gelding Shangan Theo Rific. The pair jumped 3 clear rounds in a jump off time of 33.40 seconds.
Second place went to 18 year old Alison Barton from Bradford, West Yorkshire riding Giles Mooney’s 8 year old brown gelding, Verlindo. This combination jumped 3 clear rounds in a jump off time of 35.66 seconds taking the other qualifying place for HOYS.
