Jennifer Billington Triumphs in the UNIBED – High Performance Equine Bedding Winter Grades B&C Qualifier, Securing Final Spot.

Addington Equestrian Centre hosted the concluding UNIBED – High Performance Equine Bedding Winter Grades B&C Qualifer this weekend, with Jennifer Billington emerging as the champion.
In an exhilarating jump-off featuring eight horse and rider combinations, the top five contenders were separated by a mere 2.38 seconds. Jennifer, with two rides in the jump-off, set the pace early on with Lapromesse, owned by Paul Billington, clocking in at 32.36 seconds. Despite a valiant effort by Tony Pearson on Everest Villatte, who came closest with a time of 33.26 seconds, Jennifer's lead remained unassailable, securing her the win. Riding Saulire Z as the last competitor, Jennifer aimed for a double victory, but despite the fastest time of the day at 31.81 seconds, 8 faults relegated her to 8th place.
Talking about her ride, Jennifer said: “Lapromesse is an 8-year-old mare. We have had her since a 6-year-old. She’s very careful and scopey - we’ve got hopes that she’ll be a top track horse.
“I got two through to the jump off so wasn’t going to go for it with her as the other one is much better in a jump off but in the ring, she turned up very well and won the class! It’s probably one of the biggest courses we have jumped together so I’m very proud of her. Think we’ve got a very good future ahead.”
The rosettes for the class winners were presented by Jess Vickers, Commercial and Operations Director for UNIBED – High Performance Equine Bedding, whose sponsorship of the Winter Grades B&C Championship is greatly appreciated by British Showjumping.
