It’s a win for Dorset’s Kathryn Ellison
Tuesday 10 May 2011

Last weekend saw the Equissage Discovery Regional Final take place at the Dorset Showground. With two qualifying tickets on offer for the Championship this was a heavily contested class. With only four riders managing to make it through to the third round Course Designer Samantha Pepperal had built a worthy course for a Championship qualifier.
It was twenty five year old Kathryn Ellison from Dorset that came out on top riding her own eight year old chestnut mare Summer Cruise III. The pair jumped three clear rounds in a jump off time of 46.76 seconds taking the first of the qualifying tickets which were on offer to compete at the final.
Second place went to Emma Arnold from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Emma rode her own six year old black mare, Ruby Tuesday IX who was the only other combination to jump three clear rounds securing her place in the final.
