Louise Pavitt from Crawley, West Sussex took first place and qualification for the Horse & Hound Foxhunter Championship at the Horse of the Year Show from the 6th to 10th October 2010 at the NEC, Birmingham. Louise riding Fiona Ellett’s Acordio an 8 year old, 16hh bay gelding jumped three good clear rounds the final one in 44.51 seconds over 6 seconds ahead of their nearest rival. Second place with the only other clear in the third and final jump off, was Damien Charles from Oxted, Surrey riding Andy Rothery’s Mid Summer Nights Dream a 7 year old, 16.2hh grey mare who completed in 50.70 seconds.
Third place went to Anne Nelson riding her own Billy Mist, fourth to Dale Burnham riding Jason Baillie’s Velvet VI and fifth to Sally Lane riding Laura Flynn’s Wings Sublieme.
The first five combinations also qualified to compete at the Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival being held at Stafford County Showground from 29th August to 4th September 2010.
