HORSE & COUNTRY TV MOVES UP TO CHANNEL 253 ON THE SKY PROGRAMME GUIDE

Monday 04 August 2014

Since its launch in 2007 Horse & Country TV has been on Channel 280 on the Sky programme guide, but on August 19th the equestrian sports and lifestyle broadcaster moves up in the world to Channel 253.

At the same time a reorganisation of the guide by Sky sees the Lifestyle genre disappear and all of the channels previously listed under this category move to the more highly trafficked Entertainment genre where H&C will be listed in the same area as the mainstream entertainment channels.

H&C TV Managing Director, Richard Burdett, said: “We’re confident our loyal viewers will quickly adjust to finding us in our new location but just to be sure we’ve enlisted the help of a number of top riders including Carl Hester, Louise Bell, Shane Breen and Lee Pearson who will be appearing in our campaign to get the new number across. Overall we’re delighted with the move.  Being higher up the guide and in Entertainment means a whole lot more potential viewers are likely to find the channel, which is good news for H&C and good news for our advertisers.”

As well as broadcasting on Sky, H&C TV is available over the internet and on smartphones and tablets through H&C TV Everywhere (www.horseandcountry.tv/everywhere).
