Gijon Nations Cup Team Announced

Rob Hoekstra has named the combinations that will represent Great Britain in the Gijon CISO 5* Nations Cup which will take place on Friday 3rd September.
 
Northampton based Tim Stockdale will partner Colin Garrett’s 9 year old bay gelding Fresh Direct Kalico Bay. This partnership took the King George V Gold Cup title at this year’s Royal International Horse Show. They have also been members of the 2010 Falsterbo Meydan FEI Nations Cup.
 
Recent winners of the Great Yorkshire British Showjumping Business Partnership International Stairway Robert Bevis & Courtney 6 will represent Great Britain for a second time this year. Courtney 6 a 9 year old grey gelding owned by Kate Mustill made his first Nations Cup appearance earlier on in the year at Lisbon.
 
World Equestrian Games (WEG) team members David McPherson & Chamberlain Z will also be making an appearance in the Gijon Nations Cup. Chamberlain Z is a 9 year old grey gelding owned by David, and has been a member of 2 Meydan FEI Nations Cup.
 
Peebles based Scott Brash will ride his WEG partner Intertoy Z. The 11 year old black gelding is owned by Scott’s Father, Stanley. This combination made their debut at Top League Nations Cup earlier on in the year where they were members of the La Baule Meydan FEI Nations Cup team.
 
The Nations Cup will take place on Friday the 3rd September at 14:30 CEST, with the Grand Prix commencing on Sunday 5th September at 13:00 CEST.
