Equitop® Senior Newcomers Second Round at Keysoe International Equestrian Centre is won by Bethanie Knight
Wednesday 06 July 2022

Keysoe International Equestrian Centre played host to this week’s Equitop® Senior Newcomers Second Round on Saturday, and it was Bethanie Knight who took the win riding Tony Newbery’s 8 year-old bay mare, Millfield Karmel.
Ben Townley’s course was set to test the starting field of 72 combinations, with only 19 riders jumping a faultless first round to make it through to the second round. Bethanie, from Locks Heath in Southampton, kept a cool head to make it through to the final jump off along with 5 other focused combinations. With only one of 3 triple clears, a lightning-fast and accurate final jump off secured this combination the win, crossing the finish line in 38.21 seconds, just over 1 second ahead of 2nd place.
