Ella Spencer Shines in Thrilling STX-UK Pony Foxhunter Masters Victory

The British Showjumping National Championships played host to another unforgettable class as the STX-UK Pony Foxhunter Masters delivered a showcase of speed, skill, and precision from some of the country’s most talented young riders.

A total of 30 rider combinations came forward to contest the title, with the challenging course reducing the field to just nine in the jump-off. The atmosphere was electric as the final riders took to the arena, each vying for the coveted top spot.

In the end, it was Ella Spencer with her talented partner ROUET ROUGE who emerged victorious, producing a flawless round in an impressive 42.57 seconds. Their combination of tight turns, forward riding, and composure under pressure proved unbeatable.

Already qualified for HOYS, Ella returned to the ring with confidence and secured the win - she said: "I'm really happy with how he jumped. I didn't have to go too fast in the jump-off, which was quite nice."
Looking ahead to October, Ella added: "I'm really excited to be going to Horse of the Year Show this year. He was second and third there last year, so it would be really nice to win this time."

Second place went to Raphaela Uma Dawson aboard WOODY VAN DUYVERSPUTTEN, who also jumped clear in a smooth and stylish round, stopping the clock in 45.47 seconds. Completing the podium was Emily Victoria Gulliver with LUCKY CHOICE 1, producing another double clear in 47.30 seconds to claim a well-deserved third.

With all three podium finishers delivering double clears, the class was a brilliant display of accurate riding and well-produced ponies, proving once again why the STX-UK Pony Foxhunter Masters is such a highlight of the Championships. Congratulations to all the competitors for putting on such a thrilling show.

NB: Results pending official grading.
